Zipr Coaster Knee Scooter

Had foot surgery and couldn’t walk for close to a month. Zipr was a lifesaver!! Thanks to the coaster scooter I was not only able to wheel myself around, the bag helped me carry drinks, books, meds, ice packs etc. which was a huge deal when I was home alone while my husband was at work. I also want to mention that this scooter has a break and a break lock, which is a must have in my opinion. You don’t realize how important a break lock is until you forget to lock it, and while brushing your teeth you shift your weight and have a mini heart attack as you start rolling. Trust me, it’s an important feature. Towards the end of my recovery I wore down the brakes a little because I was cruising around with this thing a little too fast and had to break more often so I’m not sure if it was the brakes or me but I’m not mad. I also want to address some reviews stating that the pads are too hard. Yes, they are hard but you’ll get used to it. Kind of like when you start riding a bike and your butt hurts from the seat but after a while you get used to it. Same thing. If it was too soft it wouldn’t be safe, in my opinion. I also like how the scooter is adjustable. I’m tall and was able to adjust the scooter to fit me perfectly. I can’t comment on what it’s like outdoors as I didn’t use this outside my home but I will tell you it was worth it. It’s slim and was able to move around my home with no problem. Buy it and a shower chair.

Had ankle replacement surgery and can't really walk all that well three months later but I still had to go back to work. I bought the knee scooter and everyone is jealous and wants to play with it because I can go so fast down the halls where I work. Seriously, I might not want to stop using it because it's fun to go flying down the hallway with this thing. Feel like a superhero.

I got this for my wife after foot surgery when crutches and a walker proved to be very difficult for her to get around on. She gets around the house very well now. This is a well-made, strong and lightweight little unit, and I don't anticipate any problems with it. The storage bag is a welcome addition, as I was following my wife all over the house with her necessities. As for ordering/shipping, I ordered it on Thursday afternoon, and it arrived on Friday late morning they really Zip it to you. Wow! Nicely packed, too. Putting it together was very easy and intuitive. Great buy for the price! Recommended!

Broke my ankle pretty bad. I rented a scooter but decided to purchase one since it will be needed for a while. I cannot do crutches so this was a life saver. I liked the Zipr with 2 hand brakes. Would recommend!
